Computers & Graphics Special Issue on Processing of Large Geospatial Data
Computers & Graphics Special Issue on Processing of Large Geospatial Data has been published in June 2015. The Special Issue contains papers from the IQmulus Processing Contest and IQmulus Workshop from 2014.
With a short quotation from the Preface of the Special Issue we would like to inform our partners and cooperating collages about the newly published Volume of the Computer & Graphics Journal:
“We would like to thank all the authors contributing to the success of the special issue, and the anonymous reviewers that helped us greatly in the revision of the manuscripts that where covering quite cross-disciplinary fields. We acknowledge the support of the project “IQmulus: A High-volume Fusion and Analysis Platform for Geospatial Point Clouds, Coverages and Volumetric Data Sets”, partially funded by the European Commission under the Grant Agreement FP7-ICT-2011- 318787, which has provided the background and motivations for the organization of this special issue. During the preparation of this special session, Ewald Quak, prominent member of the coordination team of IQmulus, passed away unexpectedly. We would like to dedicate the special issue to his memory: great colleague and good friend for all of us. Finally we like to express our thanks to the continuous support and help of the Computers & Graphics Editorial Team.”
