System Integration and Testing (WP6)
To perform continuous integration of all technologies available to IQmulus, ready to be deployed as a product release.
To configure and deploy the different scenario specific services, according to the principles of service-oriented architecture. More specifically the services to be deployed are:
The “platform”-level services infrastructure are the general services for data management and distribution as developed in WP 3;
- The data provision, basic processing and domain processing services for the scenario Marine Spatial Planning are the implementation of the defined algorithms and concepts as specified for the scenario in WP 1 and WP 4;
- The data provision, basic processing and domain processing services for the scenario Land Applications for Rapid Response and Territorial Management of Landscapes are the implementation of the defined algorithms and concepts as specified for the scenario in WP 1 and WP 4;
- To collect technical evaluation data on the performance and performance issues (based on the testing that is part of continuous integration) of the deployed system and to provide feedback to the development WPs.
The IQmulus intelligent integrated information system will be deployed as a federation of services. This WP will in particular configure, deploy and integrate these services to ensure maximum use of heterogeneous geospatial data. It will provide the necessary input to the evaluation performed in WP 7 and verify the components developed in WP3, WP4 and WP5 based on the two scenarios. Actual deployment will be distributed, with platform-level services and basic processing services being deployed to the Fraunhofer IGD TESLA cluster and conventional computing environments. Additional basic processing service deployments to commercial cloud environments (such as Amazon ECC2) will be tested. It is not foreseen to combine internal and external environments.
The project will run on the Fraunhofer IGD infrastructure and separate tests will be run on commercial cloud environments to be able to compare and allow for scalability in the external cloud. Domain processing services will be hosted at MOSS or if required by licensing constraints at the user organisation (FOMI, HRW, IGN) IT infrastructure. As the use of external Cloud resource is just limited to comparative testing, no specific budget for this is allocated, and the costs not charged to IQmulus. However, if the cost for the use of external cloud resources is higher than expected, then the PO will be contacted to address how funding can be reallocated to fund these costs.
Task 6.1 Continuous Integration (MOSS, SINTEF, Fraunhofer, CNR-IMATI, TUDelft)
Performing the integration tests and verifying the readiness to use and validate the scenario specific solutions in the assessment of WP 7. Includes aspects such as unit testing, integration testing, load and performance testing and code coverage analysis.
Task 6.2 Implementation of scenario services and client for the Marine Spatial Planning Scenario (MOSS, All partners involved)
This will be performed according to the user requirements from WP 1 and the design from WP 2. The partners with minor efforts contribute data provision service deployments and domain processing deployments.
Task 6.3 Implementation of scenario services and client for the Land Applications Scenario (MOSS, All partners involved)
This will be performed according to the user requirements from WP 1 and the design from WP 2. The partners with minor efforts which are active in this scenario contribute data provision service deployments and domain processing deployments.
