2013.03.18-20. Consortium meeting Budapest

IQmulus Consortium Meeting was held in Budapest, Hungary, from the 18th until 20th of March, 2013, hosted by FÖMI (Institute of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing). During the three day long meeting important topics concerning the development of User Requirements were discussed.

First, representatives of Work Packages have given an overview of the status of the work carried out in the previous months.

The outcomes of User Workshops organized by IQmulus consortium partners were introduced and discussed. Many fields of the IQmulus project were covered by the User Stories were born at these Workshops from hydrographic, oceanographic & terrain modelling, till flood management, city management, civil protection, etc.

Beyond the User Workshop experiences, local Hungarian Key User organizations were also presented their fields of activity and highlighted the issues IQmulus solutions could help a lot in the future.

As a second part of the meeting, decisions were made on finding relevant user stories for the IQmulus testbeds (Maritime Spatial Planning & Land Applications for Rapid Response and Territorial Management) and identify the requirements behind them. This work continued in working groups (2 land and 2 marine working group was set up). Consolidation process was discussed in details, much attention has been paid for different kind of requirements.

Last, but not least 3D web-based visualization techniques were introduced, as multi-resolution methods for interactive scientific visualization of datasets.
